The instruments displayed on this site are representative of my usual style of work. The range of price in each category represents the amount of effort that I would expend on each instrument. I make all of the detailed aesthetic judgments based on historical precedent. Prices do not include a case, shipping, packing or applicable taxes. I do arrange the purchase of a Kingham or other case and charge the client for the cost I incur. Prices are in US dollars.

6-8 course lutes range from $4500 to $5000
10 course lutes range from $5000 to $6000
Baroque lutes begin at $5500 for an instrument with fewer ribs and a bass rider to $7000 for a lute with a “Jauck” extension.
Archlutes begin at $6000
Theorbos: generally, the Kaiser is $7000 while the Schelle is $5500.
Baroque guitars: both the Italian model and the Voboam are $5000.

Please note: In order to reduce weight on the neck of my instruments that have bass extensions I either stain the wood black and varnish or paint with black paint. This is my standard procedure. There is an additional charge for veneering bass extensions.

The length of my waiting list is 24-30 months. To order an instrument I require a $500 non-refundable deposit. When I commence construction ½ of the remainder is due. Upon completion and before delivery the balance is due. Payments must be made by electronic transfer unless other arrangements are agreed upon. All sales are final.
